Counseling and Student Services

Counseling Center

The primary goal of the Counseling Center is to provide opportunities for students to clarify their personal goals and values. It also assists students in understanding the relationship of their goals and values to chosen academic programs, and their career opportunities and goals. The Counselors work to assist students in improving self-image, self-understanding, self-esteem, and self-direction. Our Counselors with their training, educational credentials and training deliver a range of counseling services.

The center has a fax machine for receiving unofficial documents. For privacy protection we ask that you first make a counseling appointment, which can be a telephone appointment, then you can fax documents to a specific counselor to be sure of them being received. The counselor will give you the appropriate fax number. Be sure to indicate on a fax cover sheet the name of the counselor, your name, your 8 digit student identification number (not your social security number), telephone number and other relevant information.

Counseling Appointments

You may now use our online system to book 30-minute counseling appointments. Go to this link: http://fhcounseling.foothill.edu/esars/counseling/eSARS.asp. Please note that you will need your 8-digit student ID to get started. For booked appointments, or to see a counselor on a Drop-In basis, come to room 8305A in the Counseling Center on the third floor of the lower campus Student Services Building.
